Keg at London Beer Lab, 04/08/17. Pale yellow with a well presented white cap. Nose is lemon drizzled straw, toasted grains, faint hop notes. Taste comprises melon, light orange pith, mineral flicker, light bread notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Basic affair lacking hop presence.

Keg at the Rake. A hazed pale golden coloured pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is rustic grass hop, straw, grains, midget gems, little farmyard. Flavour is composed of light harsh rustic grains, grassy hop, astingent finish. Palate is crisp and dry highish prickly carbonation, dry finish. Harsh assertive bitterness. Not very drinkable at all. Lingering back of the throat bitterness.

Can at home in London - sourced from a shop in Stoke Newington, I think. Pours totally clear yellow-gold with a foamy, white head. Hints of lemon in the nose, some dry pale malts, a little hay, pine needles. Light sweet flavour with subtle grassy bitterness, some husky dried, pale grains, aged citrus rind. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty basic in the finish, some vague dried citrus notes, further pale grains, bitter grass and straw. A touch bland overall. Drinks OK, but just not much to it.

Can picked up in New Cross. It pours hazy orange with a medium white head. The aroma is toasty grain, wood, cereal, bread and a touch of spice. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, lemon rind, spicy, grass, earth, toasted grain and metallic action with a dry grainy finish. Light - medium body and average carbonation. A bit grainy... Pretty so-so stuff.
