Cask at the Old Coffee House, 20/02/17. Light hazed on a golden with a decent off white head that retains well. Nose is pale malts, bread dough, grains, grass, lemon jelly, light caramel. Taste comprises bready malts, light caramel, toasted grains, straw, vanilla essence, melon. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with mellow bitterings. Looks and feels good but lacks at the business end.

Cask at Old Coffee House. Style that doesn’t exist in this country. It pours clear golden - amber with a small white head. As with the simcoe pale this is served actually warm! WTF Terry! The aroma is sweet, fragrant, lemon sherbet, candy, boiled sweets, toasty grain, grassy, herbal action and spice. The taste is dry, pretty bitter, toasty grain, cereal, porridge, hay, grass, mild astringency and stone fruits with a dry grainy. Medium body, soft carbonation and chewy mouth - feel. A proper fucken hote golde. A bit too grainy and hot for my pallet[sic].
