An easy drinking, sessionable English style Best Bitter brewed in the heart of Dorset. The Bobek and Dana hops produces the subtle bitterness and noble pine note characters with the addition of biscuity Crystal malt to create a well balanced, full flavoured beer. The beer pairs well with a hearty steak and ale pie. Serve lightly chilled.

Bottle from Sainsbury's Supermarket, Salford. Golden-amber with a small head. More hoppy than a 'best' for me, with a floral-bitterness to follow.

500ml bottle. Deep amber in colour, with a lot of fizz, and moderately -sized, off-white, head. A malty bitter, with some caramel sweetness, leafy hops and a pleasantly bitter finish. Fine.

Malty grainy beginning. Dry, malty. Hints of hazelnuts, dry grain. Easy to drink, not too deep. Sessionable malty with a dry bitter finish.

[50cl bottle from Sainsbury's, Bracknell.] An amber coloured pour with a loose cream head; simple malty aroma; straightforward malty taste; finished off with a few English hops and some caramel. A traditional bitter, probably not to everyone's taste nowadays, but I would have rated this quite highly forty odd years ago.
