Bottle at home in London - picked up at Kris Wines. Pours deep, dark brown with a creamy, tan head. Mellow roast in the aroma, slight chocolate tones, hints of ripe berries. Light to medium sweet flavour with more forward chocolate now, some bittersweet baking cocoa, scorched earth, raisin, plum. Light bodied with average carbonation and velvety carbonation. Nicely rounded on the finish, with further robust roasted malts, baking cocoa, ripe and lightly leathery dark fruits, berries, some bitter earth. Really solid overall.

Cock Tavern. Cask. Semi opaque dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, mild fine carbonation. Mellow and smooth dark malts. Unusual touch of orange blossom. Little tangy fruits. Well joined up and drinkable.

Gravity dispense at Pigs Ear ’14, day 1, 02/12/14. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is light roast, milk chocolate, dark berries. Taste comprises chocolate, sweet licks, moderate roast, red berry fruit, lactic whisper. Medium bodied, smooth on the palate, sweet licks in the close. Solid milk stout, joins up very well.
