Bottle shared at and by Leighton (s), 02/09/14 - slight gusher. Black with a big tan covering that soon dissipates to edgework and spotting. Nose is BBQ smoke, dark malt, burnt peanuts, cocoa rub, light soy sauce. Taste comprises liqourice, mineral vibes, dark berry fruits, faint hops, dark toffee fudge, moderate smoke. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stout.

Bottle shared in London - picked up at the Lab. Gusher!!! Pours deep brown with a flimsy beige head. Smoked wood aroma with hints of cocoa. Light-medium sweet flavor with sturdy smoke, beechwood, dark fruits, dark toast. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation and creamy mouthfeel. Well balanced to finish with some milk chocolate, lingering smoked malts, burnt wood. Nice depth, good balance. Really solid.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours near black with a medium tan head. The nose is rich, smokey, roasted malt, Asian stick pork, berry, sticky fruits and umami. The taste is bitter-sweet, smoke, wood, earth, cola, caramel, plum and meatiness with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nice balance. Decent balance.
