Beer House, Waterloon Station. Keg. Thanks to Colin for the tip off. Clear deep red - amber beer, little pale tan head. Palate is minerally crisp. Quite a light touch of dark malts, smoke is nicely judged, not too much.Touch of malt cream and a whisper of peel and dark fruits. Finishes crisp. Pretty drinkable.

Keg at the Beer House, Waterloo, 15/01/14. Extremely dark mahogony brown with a thin light tan covering that clears to a swirl and edgework. Nose is smoked malts, earthy cocoa, dark toffee, smoked meats. Taste comprises smoked malt, cocoa, light dirt, earthy, chocolate. Medium bodied, fine to prickly carbonation - a little overcooked. Solid enough - if you were to tell me 10 years ago that I’d be able to pick up a decent London brewed smoked porter at a bar on a mainline railway station - I’d have snatched yer fookin hand off !
