Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell - London. Pours clear, rich gold with a frothy, off-white head. Good dry smoke nose, light ham, dried berries. Light to medium sweet flavor with some toasted bread, pleasant candied ham, moderate smoke and salty meat. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Moderately sweet to finish, with more smoked ham. Nice one.

Old Fountain. Cask. Light haze on this deep amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and light but it has soke body. Light fine carbonation. Smooth malt, bare whisper of cream. The smoke is quite strong but it avoids being acrid. Touch of dried fruits. Light dry finish with something of a spicy linger.

Cask at the gin winter ale festival. Clear red amber colour with a lasting loose off white head. Aroma is big resinous pine hops with hint of beech wood smoke. Some hedgerow berry in the nose as well. Flavour is berry hop with a touch of sweetness rounded out by German smoked malt. Medium palate with grassy dry finish. This is a really nice smoked IPA.
