Review according to BJCP2008 guidelines (style 20). Bottle 33cl - Batch L2634231. AROMA: Strong artificial lemon aroma that overpowers everything else. Very subtle aroma from the underlying beer. APPEARANCE: yellow-lemony color and hazy. white head with no retention. TASTE: somewhat balanced lemon flavour with the base beer, but very sweet that lingers afterwards. No hop bitterness. PALATE: low body with low carbonation. OVERALL: unbalanced fruit beer, made with lemon soft drink and 44% beer (maybe a pale lager), with an artificial flavor.

Bottle in the hotel at Cascais, from Jumbo Cascais, 11/09/13. Pours hazed dishwater yellow, akin to pineapple juice with a thin white head that dissipates edgeward. Nose is lemon squash, light sugars, touch of grass. Taste is classic lager shandy with slightly aspartamic notes and lemon sherbet. Medium bodied, moderate carbonaion, crisp refreshing finish. Adequate Radler - a useful palate cleanser I’m sure !
