In Scotland we welcome the return of the sun whenever it deigns to shower us with its warm ray... the cloud and rain will jsut have to get over it. A light amber beer with lovely citrus aroma, slightly sweet and fruity.

500 ml bottle, BB Jan 2015
Thanks to Seanyfo for this one! Pale orange in the glass, malty-neutral nose. The beer starts malty and bitter. Nicely smooth. Caramel, hints of citrus, but all a bit weak. A slightly sweet taste is in the foreground, bitterness comes closer to the end. Bloomy, flouwery hop-aroma join in as well. The aftertaste is long, a bit too sweet (for me), nicely bitter, floral hops and caramel malt.
--> all in all a very interesting brew! --> 11/12/10/10

50cl bottle thanks to Keith from Williams. Appearance - somewhere between golden and amber. Nose - very much malt dominated with just a touch of herby-citrus coming through to clean things up. Taste - honey nut cornflakes with lemon. Palate - medium bodied, creamy in texture and fairly refreshing finish. Overall - another good ale from Williams if not one of their best.

Bottle from Aldi. Dull golden body with a thin off-white head. Light carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of wood, flowers and muted citrus. Definitely tasting the spruce in this. Very easy drinking. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft carbonation. An unusual Bitter because of the spruce element. A good session beer but it’s very thin.

500ml bottle at home. Pours clear amber with good long-lasting head. Muted aromas of honey and marmalade. Light sweetness and bitterness, some floral notes coming through. Light bodied, but creamy enough. A satisfying summer beer.

Bottle: Copper coloured, a bit unclear, small off-white head, sweetish citrussy and slightly honeyish nose with a delicate bitter touch; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied and soft; mild but lingering herbal and fruity finish. O.K., no doubt…

500ml Bottle: BBD of Jan 2014. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 10 Mar 2013. Nice looking brew: pale amber with a creamy head of off-white foam. Nose and taste ruled by fruity hop notes with semi-sweet maltiness just below the surface. Nicely balanced beer with enough going on to excite the taste buds and leave you wanting another bottle. it was snowing outside when I had this: no Sun to be seen!

500ml bottle. Clear amber colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity, citrusy aroma, a touch of red berries. Taste is moderately sweet fruity, strawberry and other red berries, dry with minimally grainy undertones in the finish. A bit watery overall.

(bottle) Clear, dark amber colour with a short and slightly tanned foamy head. Mildly fruity and spicy hoppy aroma with notes of cara-malt and a touch of anise. Moderately sweet and shy bitter flavour, light bodied with a modest carbonation. Cara-malty and fruit-accented taste with notes of berries/cassis, citrus, also some spicy accents in the background; medium-dry sweet and delicately bitter finish with notes of cassis in the aftertaste. Inoffensive and likeable. 20.XI.12
