In Scotland we welcome the return of the sun whenever it deigns to shower us with its warm ray... the cloud and rain will jsut have to get over it. A light amber beer with lovely citrus aroma, slightly sweet and fruity.

50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 01/2014
Aroma has resiny hops and caramel. Feels a bit like a candy. Flavour has caramel, some resiny hops and toffee. A bit watery but nice anyway.

Bottle at home in London. Pours clear gold with a soft, white foam head. Very lightly toasted bready malts in the nose, subtle notes of grass and pine. Light sweet flavor with some further lightly toasted, bready malt tones, some dry pine, dry grass, very mellow orange. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Crisp, clean finish with faint, dry pine with just hints of resin, some dry bread, mild grassy bitterness. I like this quite a bit. It’s a great sessioner. It actually reminds me of a lot of mild American pale ales. Could do with a bit more backbone, but so it goes. Very nice, easygoing beer.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Reddish amber in colour, with a tight, off-white head. Sweet, slightly spicy aroma with some hay, grassy hops and a touch of fruit. Flavour had sweet apricot fruits, an earthy malt edge and moderately bitter finish. Good.

50cl bottle from the Sainsbury’s Beer Hunt range. Amber with a loose cream head; caramel malt aroma; clean and crisp herbal taste with a thin body; the finish has some caramel and a grassy bitterness, but overall it seems rather dull.

This one has a flavour more sweet than bitter, with citrus and fruit in there but finishes slightly more bitter.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s Nairn
Medium amber, clear, big frothy white head, good lacing
Aroma - golden malts, light honey, soft herbal notes, light
Taste - light golden malts, some soft citrus hop, tad of light honey, light sweet resin, hint of light wood, slight unusual floral note probably from the spruce
Palate - soft carb, thinnish body, slightly oily. Finish as main flavour, a little bitter
Overall - OK - quite nice - they do better beers than this tbh

500ml bottle from Sainsburys Ashford. Clear amber coloured beer with thick lasting off white head. Flowery hoppy aroma. Quite light in the mouth. Some hoppy floral and bitterness on the finish. Some very slight raspberry tartness on the finish that is quite pleasant. Yes, it says aromatic on the label and I’d go with that. Not convinced about this, but it’s kinda ok.
