Cask at the Anglesea Arms. Made with ice and using ice distillation??! It pours deep brown with medium white head. The nose is wood, leather, dried fruit and faint berry. The taste is wood, leather, earth, caramel, berry, faint jamminess, touch of spice, lightest tartness and decent bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Smooth and pretty drinkable.

Cask at the Half Moon, Windlesham, 27/03/13. Pours a hazed chestnut brown with reddish hues with a thin off white head that soon dissipates to nothing. Nose is berry fruits, malt, woody notes, sugars, light caramel. Taste pretty much mimics the nose - no hidden complexities here, berry fruit forward - light raspberry, slightly tarte, sugars and toffee. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation maybe a little on the flat side. Ok drinkable fayre - nothing to shout home about however wasn’t convinced about the condition of this one so could do with a re-rate.
