500 ml bottle, batch #689, the first beer in HB’s saison series. At Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7%. Brewed with apple juice from Lier. Hazy golden colour, moderate to low white head. Strong fruity aroma of apples, smells more like a cider than a beer. Very fruity, "spritzy" and refreshing flavour, notes of apple juice but not very sweet, also typical "spicy" saison notes to remind you that this actually is a beer.

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, yeast with a hint of pepper and apples. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long dry, fruity and hint of pepper finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft to fizzy

Bottle, at Sandar. A clear, golden beer with a small white head. There’s quite a lot of apples in the aroma, as well as pale malts and some yeast and generic fruityness. Saison-like yeast in the flavor, fruityness and some apples. Soft and quite dry on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. Fruity finish. Very drinkable and quite quenching. 140216

Lett uklar gylden farge med en fin hvit topp som legger seg pent langs glasset. Aromaen er lett fruktig, noe gjær og litt frisk sitrus. Kroppen er middels med en balansert sødme. Frisk fin karbonering. Smaken gjenspeiler aromaen mye. Fruktig, lett syrlig med ett fint gjærpreg. Noe sitrus og en fin balansert eplesmak som kommer etter hvert. Snadderøl som absolutt kan anbefales. Recomendable! .
