500ml bottle, batch 689, many thanks to OleR. Pours a pale golden body. Diminishing white head leaving lacing rings down the glassware. Moderate aromas of grass and earth, lightly spiced. Spiced dried fruity taste, including apples and apricot. A little yeasty fruitiness to the finish. Medium bodied. Masked alcohol. Alright, maybe a little unvaried (shared with Elisabeth and Stefan, Tromsø 20.09.2014).

Flaske 500ml på Skarven. Lys gyldenbrungul. Høyt skinnende hvitt skum med kremkarakter. Aroma av gress med innslag av krydder. Smaken er skogsbær på en bakgrunn av samme krydder. Smaken holder seg lenge. Litt tynn & monoton.

Bottle at Sandar. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is yeast, citrus, malt, hop, apples. flavour is yeast, malt, citrus, malt, hop, apples, sugar, fruit. Easy drinkable beer.

Medium white head. Slightly hazy deep yellow body with fast carbonation. Earthy funky winter apple aroma. Dry, sweet, and slightly acidic, winter apple and honey taste with funky earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Kind of mild mouthfeel. Dryish peppery winter apple aftertaste with honey and spice notes. Nice, drinkable, and unusual. The apple infusion works, adding flavour without being artificial or too dominating. (0.5l bottle, from wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours hazy pale golden with a white head. Fruity aroma with apples, spices, notes of Belgian yeast and malt. Bottle, #689. Pours hazy yellow with an enormous head receding to finger thickness. Aroma is quite fruity with apples and only a slight yeast appearance, as well as some caramel malts, kandi, oak and herbs. Medium body with soft carbonation. Flavour is tart and fruity with apples and grapes, and a quite sweetly finish of ripe fruit. More of a light sour fruit beer than a saison really.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is mild fruity, flowers, yeast, yellow apples, hay, light malts, dried fruits. Taste is mild and floral, hay, yeast, flowers, citrus peel, yellow apples, light malts, alcohol. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and harsh mouthfeel. Nice enough.

Fra flaske (batch 689) på Cardinaltreff mars-14: første smak på Haandbryggeriets nye serie Saison. Tilsatt fersk juice fra norske epler fra Lier. Uklar gylden med lavt skum. Tørr, lett og syrlig. Minner mest om cider men den fine karboneringen (og det lille krydderpreget fra gjæren og humlen) gir den bedre munnfylde enn cider. Flaske, delt med Willy på brygga sep-15: en helt annen opplevelse! Frisk og lekker med gode toner av bringebær og stikkelsbær, og en anelse kirsebær helt i slutten. Vi var svært fornøyde begge to. Opp fra 2.9 til 3.3

Bottle at Cardinal, 2014/03/24. Slight sulfur smell. Apples add some sourness and aftertaste, but not much. Some alcohol taste. A mild saison that fits well as a summer beer - although it has 7 %...
