Some collab beers are perplexing, they're supposed to be extra-special right? This one is not particularly smoked, not particularly stout-like, but is has a moreish appeal in its dark beer character. Maybe the marketing person never even tried this one.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours near black with long - lasting light brown head. The aroma is rich, darkly roasted malt, charred, umami, pleasing smoke, bonfire, dark chocolate and rocky road. The taste is dry, dark roasted malt, smooth, bitter - sweet, charred, nice level of smoked malts, bonfire, umami, liquorice, burnt toast and dark chocolate with a toasty finish. Lighter end of medium body and soft, fluffy carbonation. Pretty nice offering. I could easily drink a few pints. Strikes a good balance.
