Bottled (from Vinmonopolet Kirkenes). Copper colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is toffee, mild alcohol, some spices, some sweet wood. Flavour is dried fruits, mild wood, spices some alcohol and rye. Sweetish, but rather dry.

Dark ruby-red colour, medium-sized beige head. Bready, berryish aroma. Medium-bodied. Bready, grassy, caramel and some bitterness in the finish. Malty, bock-like. Quite good.

500 ml bottle, 2018, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.0%. Bottom fermented. Deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Moderate aroma of dark dried fruits, caramel and mild spices. Fizzy and slightly citric mouthfeel. The flavour is moderately malty with notes of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread with syrup, mild spices and dark dried fruits. Hints of burnt toast and roasted nuts. Minimal hops.

Fra flaske på maritim juleølsmaking ombord på Fridtjofen, des-17: rødbrun med flott skum som varer. Karamell/kandis, appelsin og krydder. Behagelig bitterhet i avslutningen.
