Cask-conditioned at the Lamp Tavern, Birmingham 28/9/2016. Deep brown with a slight, off-white head. Brown sugar, a touch of chocolate and some toasty malts, before a pleasantly soft finish. A good mild.

Cask at the Wellington; dark brown pour with a bubbly tan head, aroma has caramel, smooth chocolate and some dark fruits, taste has chocolate, some nutty action, light roast, pretty decent.

Cask conditioned handpull at Saracen’s Head, Worcester. Rather a nice roasty mild. It’s good. Nice bit of burnt choc, some biscuit. It’s pretty good, very drinkable. Little bit of powder/grain coffee on finish, bit of bitterness from roasted malt. Good.
