Brewed to the same recipe as our Fat Cat Stout, only this time we add a whole heap of freshly ground coffee beans (from Wilkinson’s of Norwich). The coffee beans are infused during the brewing process to give a fuller more complex coffee taste and aroma.

Cask at the Castle - Manchester. Pours deep brown with a dense, creamy beige head. Hearty coffee aroma, with sturdy roast, cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with nice and true bitter coffee character, bittersweet baking cocoa, some scorched earth. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation and creamy texture. Nicely balanced on the finish, but still with assertive coffee character, mellow earth, burnt toast, chocolate. Great coffee stout, and the depth of character is quite impressive given the relatively low ABV.

Craft near Tottenham Ct Rd war zone. Caso. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Not much carbonation. Mellow earthy coffee. Touch of tangy sweetness. Light semi dry finish. Mild coffee linger. A bit tired.

Keg at The Wellington; dark brown pour with thin tan head, big coffee aroma, taste is sweet along with loads of coffee, quite thin mouthfeel, coffee definitely added post brew very instant and artificial but I enjoyed it all the same.
