A brand new edition. This luxurious stout blends our signature Very Big Moose additions of cacao and vanilla with maple syrup and hazelnut, before aging in bourbon infused maple syrup barrels. Flavours or rich espresso meld with smoky notes of maple and burnt sugar.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Near opaque dark brown beer, decent bubbly tan head. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Thin dark malts, a modest dark chocolate. For me, lots of off notes ensue. Gluey solvent into bitterish skewed maple and Bourbon. A light and semi dry finish. Yikes, for me, a real second class clunker

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is maple and caramel with dark malt, bourbon, burnt sugar, vanilla. Not picking up the hazelnut, unfortunately. Flavour is medium sweet with a little booziness in the finish. Medium to full body. Sweet, big maple bourbon barrel. Very nice despite no hazelnut.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 18/01/25 - wee hours.
Black with a tan head that thins to a swirl.
Nose is chocolate, dark malts, touch of maple syrup, toffee, muscovado sugars, hint of Turkish Delight.
Taste comprises chocolate, hazelnut, dark malts, mellow roast, subtle maple syrup, toasted brown sugars.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Okay impy but a little lacking in depth, barrel and flavour for the advertised hefty 12.5%!

Can from Fierce brewery. It pours like motor oil... darkest brown to black with a small deep brown head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, unctuous, oily, maple glazed donut, vanilla, bourbon, praline, fererro rocher, toffee, dark chocolate and salted caramel. The taste is slick, oily, dark roasted malt, bitter - sweet , charred umami, toasted nut, praline, fererro rocher, hint of vanilla, Tigger, maple glazed donuts, some tannin, burnt toast, chocolate bourbons, touch of fruitiness, toasted fruit cake and warming booze with a drying, roasty finale. Fulsome body, average carbonation and slick mouth feel. Not too sweet thankfully. Works well.
