Poured from 473mL can (2023 release; #410/500). Very dark brown with minimal beige head. Demerara sugar, boozy rum, thin bodied, meh.

473mL can, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is full of intense perfumey spirit with little else besides the rum. Flavour is pretty hot and harsh, with tons of hot spirit that is barely recognizable as rum. Malt base is thin and buried beneath the spirit. Not a fine work of art.

2023 vintage. I got the Gretzky can, #99 of 500. Near black. Medium head. The aroma is quite intense rum barrel, maybe some chocolate. The base has a medium body (for style), a decent amount of sugars, and a hint of roast. But it's not all that complex. The rum is more like candy rum, some phenols, a bit hot. It's not bad - the base is sufficiently respectable - but the treatment doesn't really do it any favours. Just too much raw spirit.
