With Gloomless, brightness isn’t just an absence of darkness—it’s a taste. Pine and resin take the forefront of this Double IPA, followed by layers of citrus and tropical fruit from a generous dry hop. A clean malt base keeps the bitterness in check, while the warmth of the ABV remains understated. Golden and slightly hazy, Gloomless brings clarity to even the greyest of days.

Sort of a mid-range DIPA, a touch gloppy on the malts. The hops are okay, but indistinct. Not their best work.

473mL can, pours a minimally hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has some car fumes, piney hops, light resinous hop oils, and biscuity malt. Flavour is much the same, with piney hops, bitter resinous hop oils, citrus, and crisp biscuity malt. Bitter finish, with an oily, dank finish. Not the most vibrant or robust hop expression but it’s well-constructed.

473 ml can. Pours a bright amber with moderate head. Aromas of pineapple, citrus, pine resin, and biscuity malts. Flavors of candied pineapple, pine resin, bitter citrus and dry toasted malts. Very good. One of the best West Coast IPAs from Four Winds IMHO.

16oz @ 🏡 Appearance: a bit hszy golden with a white head. Aroma: citrusy, some pine and dankness. Taste: bitter, nice body, a bit crispy, some fruity character. Finishes with noticeable piney bitterness. Overall: good for those who likes old school IPAs, but it's too bitter for me.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 20/11/24). Clear blonde gold with big white head. A bit oily, citrus and mild pine hops with a hint of tropical hops in the background. Could have a bit more depth, but I enjoy it.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Hazy blond colour, medium head. Aroma of pine, zest oils, ight dankness. Dry mouthfeel, it has the body strength of a 7% IPA, delicate malts, which could be pleasant, but then spoiled by medium pithy bitterness; there are also piney resins.
