Ikke spesielt bitter slik navnet skulle tilsi, men heller preget av balanse mellom karamellaktig malt og klassisk britisk humle.

0.5l bottle from #blank. This is a blurry deep dark golden colored one, well at least it starts off blurry, a bit down the bottle it went quite cloudy and even had some big chunky floaters and sediments, with a really big and lasting just off-white head that's refusing to let go. On the nose I get a good amount of sweetness from caramel, fruits and wood juices. It's quite fruity indeed with tones of both peaches, strawberries and yellow raspberries. I'm not surprised that I enjoy this aroma cause this brewer has impressed me in every bottle I've had so far. Saying that, this don't really taste all that good. It has metallic copperish brown flavor combined with dry caramel, light grass and yeast. It has a surprisingly nice and light oily feeling in the mouth with a average big bubbled carbonation level. Ends floral with more if that dry caramel touch. By all means, it's a flavorful bitter just not completely my favorite genre today I guess and I didn't fancy those pretty clear metallic tones. 01.04.2014

Flaske 0,5l - gave fra Rune. Drukket i heimen som matøl 28 Nov 13. Mørk amber. Lavt skum som daler raskt. Litt uklar. Veldig lite aroma. En anelse frukt. Lite kullsyre. Smaken har et forsiktig maltpreg. Blir litt anonym - men ok til mat.

One of five 500ml bottles as a beer gift after talking about early modern witchcraft. Golden-brown body and an off-white head leaving spotty lacing behind. Restrained aroma of earthy, caramel malts and dusty hops. Nuts, caramel together with herbal hops in the flavour profile. Smooth ending with subdued malty bitterness. Ok (hotel room, Levanger 20.11.2012).

Godt eksemplar av arten. Magni forsøkte å lure denne inn som 'et juleøl' i blindsmaking, men dengang ei.

Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting, rear labelled as Bitter #2. ABV is 4.5%. Brewed with pale and crystal malts. Hops are East Kent Goldings, Challenger and Willamette. Amber colour, moderate off-white head. Rather uninteresting aroma of stale jam and "dusty" hops. Sweet and malty flavour with caramel, too sweet for an English bitter, but not unpleasant. Some hops in the finish.

Big offwhite head. Hazy amber body. Mealy herbal fruity aroma with red berry notes. Dry-sweet mealy papery earthy taste with caramelly notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish mealy earthy caramelly aftertaste with roasty herbal notes. Really nice and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle shared by KnutAlbert. Batch #88.)

Hazy amber color, with creamy head. The aroma reveals some vegetables, and some cereals. Medium body; some cereals flavor and correct bitterness; no yeast character; as a Bitter, it’s off target; as ale, it has a quite strong grassy touch.
