Can from AlesByMail.co.uk. Dark golden, slightly hazy body, with a big, stable, creamy, white head. Aroma of pine needles, grapefruit, peach, mango, passion fruit, some berries, grass, caramel. Taste with about the same aromas, but less fruity and very resinous instead. Mouthfeel is medium to light, slick, with a moderate carbonation and it finishes bitter, slightly dry and with some sweet malts. Tasty! A straight, piney and resinous DIPA, that isn’t that complex, but with a excellent balance between hops and malts. The ABV isn’t really noticeable and it balances the quite strong hop bite with a lighter body and great drinkability pretty well.

473ml can. Clear golden colour with average to huge, fluffy, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, barely white head. Piney and fruity hoppy aroma, notes of pineapple, some grapefruit, a herbal and spicy touch with liquorice resemblances, caramel malty background. Taste is moderately sweet caramel malty, piney and fruity hoppy with notes of pineapple and grapefruit; minimally biting bitter hoppy finish; Relatively mild bitterness for 99 IBUs, though the bitterness adds up with time. Nice composition, simple, clean but not aseptic, quite refreshing.

Can. Lightly hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and light. Mild fine carbonation. Airy malt base, slightly sweet. Hops are piney pineapple with a little skunk and a fair bit of hop spice. Light floralness and citric peel before a light airy finish. Mellow bitter linger. Very nice. Pretty light and easy drinking.

Bomber, bottled July 08 2013. Pours clear amber with a medium puffy white head that leaves good lacing on the tulip. Aroma is citrus, pine resin, cat piss, a bit of herbal spruciness. Flavor is about the same, certainly not as up front citrusy as Simcoe/CItra IPA’s, but an interesting take on the style. LIghtly sweet, medium bitter. Medium body, oily mouthfeel. Can from 04/14 - bitterness seems more subdued, with a bit less herbal and a bit more tropical fruit.
