Nuts, fruit and a dry, hoppy bitterness on the palate.

Cask @ Queens Larder, Bloomsbury, London. Dark golden with a small head. Mildly floral in its nose, more bushy-floral in its taste. Possibly could have been kept better.

Handpull cask from the Three Cups, Bedford. Light brown with a thin layer of loose beige head. Malt, turpentine, a bit of wood shavings. Taste is bittersweet, with the intense earthy malt balanced with fruity bitter hop. Medium to long finish. Body a bit thin... pretty good for a basic no-frills bitter.

On cask at Oxon Priory Shrewsbury. Appearance - amber to brown with a decent head. Nose - bran flakes and a hint of citrus if you really look for it. Taste - soggy bran cereal with light honey. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish though not as fresh as the style would lead me to expect. Overall - this is pleasant enough but more like a mild in style.
