Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival at KEGS. Cask. Hazy amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has modest carbonation. Rich earthy coffee. Some suggestion of dark fruits. Dry finish. Light but very coffee.

Gravity cask at the Draymans Son, Ely. Light brown, translucent. Smells like coffee... tastes like coffee. Seriously, unlike many breakfast beers this seems to be a very simple recipe which is dominated by the addition of mild nutty coffee. Bitter aftertaste, body is a bit thin. Having said this, it has an amazing amount if flavour for 3.8%.
