Cask at The Plasterers Arms, Norwich. It pours hazy orangey amber with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, sweaty, resinous, green, pine, apricot and apple pie. The taste is dry, bitter, oily, resin, piney, pithy, zesty, bit of spice, bit peachy, apricot and biscuit with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Flavourful, balanced and moreish. Nice one.

Gravity cask at the Ale Stone, Aylstone, Leicester. Mid- to dark gold, almost brassy. Flat. Translucent and a bit thin-looking. Apricot, tangerine and a touch of ammonia in the aftertaste. Sublimely sweet taste, smooth and milky with peach and orange peel. There's a sharper bitterness to the long finish, with hop oils lingering on the back of the tongue. Simply bathed in Simcoe, bringing out the best in the hop.
