Black brown colour, dissipating beige head. Aroma of malts, caramel, chocolate and Belgian yeast. Sweet flavour, brown sugar, caramel, malt. Malty finish, brown sugar.

Bottle 330ml. @ RBESG 14 Grand Tasting at Moncada Brewery, Unit 1 Middle Row, Kensal Town, Greater London, England W10 5AT. [ As Top Out Dark Abbey ].Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, spicy, chocolate, caramel, moderate yeasty, spicy. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, caramel, spicy yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140809]

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is fruity and wineous. Fruity. Toasted malty and caramelish. Light wineous. Lingering dark malty and caramelish. Bitter and phenolic finish.

Bottle @ RBESG Grand Tasting. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty caramel aroma. Fruity malty spicy yeasty caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

Bottle thanks to Shay and Lorraine. Pours dark brown off white head. Nose/taste of grape, dark fruit, cocoa, fruit cake and earthy dark fruit. Medium body.

Bottle shared at RBESG 2014 Grand Tasting. Brown color with a red glare coming through, small beige head. Small and taste malts, sweetness, some fruitiness, a hint of sugar, a hint of candy and a bit floral. Average to medium body and carbonation.

Bottle grand tasting RBESG14. Black beige head. it has something like aniseed. Not my favourite flavour. Odd abbey beer. Not my thing

Semi opaque brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is dry and mildly crisp. Sweetish generic fruits, little Coca Cola and Dr Pepper. Pinch of spice. Light creamy malt sweetness. Little floralness. Light semi dry finish. Tasty stuff. Hides the abv well.
