Can from Yutaka London. It pours clear yellow - gold with a decent fluffy white head. The aroma is straw, grass, slightly herbal, crackery malt, rich tea biscuit and cheap white bread. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, grassy, straw, herbal vibes, toasty grains, florals and slightly soapy accents with a a dry, toasty finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Decent lagerbier.

First beer of the fest! Baeren TG Pilsner 4.5% Crystal clear gold with thick pillowy foam and a herbal hop bouquet. Crisp light body with a surprisingly bitter finish. Tasty start to the day. Tap @ Ibaraki Bakuon

Can, ordered from the brewery. Bready malt nose with noble hops. Herbal, leafy, light citrus. Quite straightforward and simple. Very pale gold with a tall, fluffy head. Crisp, crackery malt, slightly sweet, with very herbal hops and a pronounced bitterness. More North German than Bavarian, finishing dry and bitter. Decent but not quite thrilling. Not as sweet as the previous The Day Pilsner, though a bit too bitter for my tastes.
