Tap at CBM. Dark brown with a tan head. Toasty, slightly nutty malt nose with pine, citrus. Rich, smooth and hoppy. Tasty stuff.

Next up is part of a new series… KBC Timeslip Amber Ale 6% Reddish brown with wispy beige foam and a caramel with slightly burnt candy notes to it aroma. I think with this as a base you could probably make some kind of caramel apple beer. Medium bodied with a fairly full smooth mouthfeel. The taste is caramel, plums, stone fruits, a bit of burnt sugar and cocoa notes. This shows what a solid beer style an amber ale can be, richer and more UK than American. Ramp this up to 11 and you’ve got a barleywine.
