Bottle from Deeside Drinks Emporium, shared with the RB posse. It pours clear golden yellow with a thick beige head. The nose is honey, earth, spent grain, mild malt whisky, vanilla and light peat. The taste is earthy, oat, light peat, whisky, toast, floral, grainy, faint medicinal, sweet dough, vanilla, wood, citrus and alcohol warmth with a dry, lightly bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Nice balance. I am surprised that a pale whisky barrel-aged beer actually works. Good stuff.

Colour: amber, clear.

Aroma: strong whisky aroma upfront (not much alcohol though), woody, malty.

Taste: again, lots of whisky, sweet, not much bitterness.

Bottled. Sweet malt aroma with peat and oak. flavors of peat, grass, toffee, oak. Decent, but not really impressive.

33 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is thick malty, light whiskey note, greasy. Sweet malty, overripe fruity and nutty. Mild whiskey malty finish.

Tap. Clear amber, low head. Spicy, dusty, honeyish aroma. Mellow mouthfeel, full body, light sticky. Hay, honey, clay, salt, good earthy hop aromatics. Spicy aftertaste. Has stuff going on.
