Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Indigo brown with a very loose beige head. Fudge, caramel, Marmite and a touch of smoke in the scent. Bittersweet taste with a savoury/smoky interplay. Slightly acrid smokiness in the finish with lingering earthy hop. Easy drinking, full of character and wonderfully different from you bog-standard cask stout.
