Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at CRAFT N DRAFT, Shoreditch. Pours deep brown with a frothy, tan head. Strong ashy roast character, dry tobacco, scorched earth, bitter chalky cocoa. Light bodied with average carbonation. Bitter finish, some burnt grass, more ash, woody dryness. A bit aggressive overall.

3.1% On tap at Thomas Tallis Canterbury. Hazy dark brown colour lasting beige head. A green hop mild. Some hoppy presence no doubt. I thought very drinkable. Decent dark mild malts and a slap of green hops spicy bite. good I thought. lots of flavour for a 3.1% abv beer.
