Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. As Arend Winter. Sweet and spicy with an aroma of brown malt, yeast, winter spices, and some liquorice root. Medium body, too sweet and spiced for me.

Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and hopy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle 33 cl. Comes a slow but steady gusher. Pours a cloudy, reddish brown with a rough, beige head. Complex nose of overripe, dark fruits, Madeira and brown sugars. Rich, sweet body - kinda lowish carbonation. Complex Belgian esters, same as above paired with some marzipan and perhaps a hint of licorice. Gets way less sweet the deeper you get inside this with decent balancing hops. 030424

Appearance: Cloudy deep amber with a good beige head. Aroma and taste: A nice composition of caramel & toast, dried fruit, pleasant spicy yeast, spicy hop (not little of). Mouth feel: Medium body, average carbonation. Summary: Unexpectedly good.

33cl botte as Arend Winter. A clear ruby brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of dark malt, raisins, caramel. Taste of dark reddish malt, raisins, caramel, spices.

Cremig malziger Beginn, Alkohol, deutlich kräutrig. Süffig, im Hintergrund angenehm bitter. Trocken und zunehmend bitter zum Ende, rund. 10/10/9/8/8/8

Fles als Arend Winter, 7%. Bruin bier met stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is bitterzoet en licht kruidig met iets van karamel, kandij en stroop. Heel goed.
