Dark brown color with small head. Some caramel aroma. Caramel flavor, moderate residual sweetness, light liquorice impression; ordinary bitterness.
Quite boring.

Reddish-amber colour with slight haze, this year’s incarnation of the popular Christmas brew has the aroma of raisins, toffee and a little bit of bubblegum. The flavour is sweet, but there is a juicy maltiness that lends vibrancy to the body and keep things moving along. Slightly chewy towards the finish. The alcohol is well-masked. Made with the Westmalle yeast. Ar 7 Ap 3 F 7 P 4 O 14 = 3.5
2005 is the same beer, made with a different yeast (White Labs golden). It’s still fruity and bubblegummy, but less complex I think. Woodier and nuttier though.
