Very hazy golden and straw coloured body with a thinnish, one centimetre tall off-white head that stays afloat nicely over top of the 90 per cent opaque glow. Aroma of light rye, some deep wheat and some softer hops with some nice bitterness along with a slight dash of alcohol noticeable in the nose as well, but this is pretty rye-heavy, of course. Medium-bodied; Pretty rich and malty rye and grainy notes dominate with a lot of pungency and bitterness, wtih a good blend of malt and hops that bring out the pungency along with a good alcohol bite and some dryness throughout, but the rye grain and the bitterness shows strongest throughout here with a lot of pungency and richness from the malts as well that finishes nicely and perhaps shows even more than 8 per cent alcohol. Overall, a pretty nice, rye-centric IPA with a great bitterness and pungent dryness and noticeable alcohol bite, but the balance between malt and hops is struck quite well and the rye is very nice throughout. Great to sample, very fresh and even though rye isn't my favourite - this one works very well! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Altamonte Springs, Florida on 01-January-2023 for US$4,99 sampled in my hotel room here in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on 31-January-2023.

Keeps the rye accentuated, offering a dry, spicy middle set against melon and tropical notes and a modest pine undertone. Finishes clean and somewhat bland for a DIPA, lacking both a lingering hop bite or any residual grain. Good, almost great.
