satisfied with it, as it has turned into a luxurious and complex beer. We thought it suitable to give it a fancy french name. We proudly present: Les Perles Du Homard.

Bottle at home from The Scrapyard. Pours orangeish golden with a huge, foamy, everlasting white head. Nose is citruses, orange zest, light peppery notes, lots of esters. Taste is also zesty citruses, peppers, light malty sweetness, quite some booze, sugary notes. Closes with a boozy, dry, estery finish. The body is light (thin?), dry, with a rather high level of carbonation. Not bad, but the corresponding issues of too high carbonation, too light body and too much booze make the beer less enjoyable for sure.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is estery yeast, malt, ripe fruits, notes of stone fruits, marmalade, apricot. On the sweet side for a Saison. Body is medium. Decent, but a bit disappointing coming from Kromme Haring, I like my Saison way more dry.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orange golden colour with huge, frothy, moderately to mostly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Bready malty and sligtly yeasty spicy aroma, a touch of clove, whiffs of orange peel. Taste is slightly bready malty with subtle residual sweetness, yeasty spicy and minimally yeasty fruity, minimally alcoholic, hints of clove and black pepper, a touch of orange peel; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Minimally oily, watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Relatively simple but beefy - not bad.

Orange to amber with a frothy, white head. Nose promises calvados, oak and flowers but there’s also a slightly vinous undertone. Taste is bittersweet, both mildly fruity and mildly medicinal. Finishes the same. Quite warming, not quite boozy but getting there. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. A fun sipper.

Golden brew with white head. Strong malts with alcohol boost, marzipan, coriander/cloves mix. Fine smooth creamy malty feel with dry finish. Over medium body, soft carb. This is (irresistible) malt liquor for the chique. Crushable Tripel.
