Tap. Pours opaque black, large tan creamy head, great lacing. Wonderful aroma is Bourbon, chocolate, molasses. Flavor is the same, dark roasted malts, light sweet, minimal bitterness. Medium body, a bit watery.

On tap at EBF 3/16/13. Lots of bourbon on the nose with faint stout underneath. The flavor is lightly roasty with plenty of bourbon presence. They bill this as dry stout at 8.5% and then barrel age it for 3 years. I think it needs more body or more sweetness. I don’t know, it just didn’t impress me.

On tap. Pours with a massive deep brown head over a black body. Aromas are roasty, nutty, barrel, mildly fruity, cotton candy, vanilla, marshmallow, slightly musty and layered vanillin, grass, oak, molasses, coconut, sweet chocolate, light leather. Insanely complex. Flavors are a touch musty, woody, very nutty, cola, light pepper, maple and marshmallow. Creamy carbonation and medium bodied.
