Bottle thanks to Jack at THE fruit sour tasting. It pours deep purple with a small fizzy white head. The nose is bramble jam, tangy berry, blackcurrant cordial, wood and raspberry yoghurt. The taste is sour raspberry, raspberry pip, bramble, blackcurrant, jam, great sweet-sour balance, lemon, lip-smacking sourness, moderate acidity, granny smith apple and wood with a tart finish. Medium body and effervescent carbonation. Juicy, well-balanced and absolutely delicious. Truly one of the best American sours that I’ve ever tasted.

750 ml bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours tiny hazy deep brownish ruby with a small frothy pinkiskh offwhite head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly sweet, slightly sour and fruity with raspberries, lemon juice, moist tobacco, wood, dark grapes, black tea, lemon zest, black currant leaves, dry soil, barnyard and hints of hints of woody tannins. Taste is very sour, fruity and tart with juicy raspberries, lemon juice, salty liquorice, moist tobacco, rose hips, black currants, wood, black tea, unripe gooseberries, hay, dark grapes, dry soil, barnyard and hints of raspberry vinegar. Mouthfeel is dry, fruity tart, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is sour and tart with raspberries, black currant jam, black cherries, wood, lemon juice, hay, dry soil, tobacco, dark grapes and black tea. Such an amazing fruity beer.

GABF 2012. Multiple tastes at GABF. So glad to finally try this! Pours a hazy purple appearance with a small off white head. Super juicy, tart nose with tons of raspberries, vanilla, and light funk. Super tart raspberry, funky, juicy, light barnyard flavor. It’s a burner but very nice for Sourheads.

Where the Wild Beers Are 2012. Great aroma with lambic yeast and raspberry. Fresh berry flavor, with raspberry, and more yeast. Very good.

Thanks Beerlando! Purplish colour. Very fruity with balanced tartness. Subtle lactic complexity. Quite nice. It has a lot of flavour and some sweetness, but still carries a mellow lambic character as well.

Pours with a murky dark pinkish purple sort of color supporting a white head that carried a pinkish hue. The aroma offers up a nice load of raspberry like fruitiness as well as some tartness, sourness and yeasty notes into the end of the draw. The taste comes across as tart and then getting sour with wild like yeastiness that gets to the point of being a bit acidic like and puckering. Around those notes is a pleasing amount of raspberry fruitiness. Cool brew with more raspberry going on than I would have expected.

Bottle from the release to end my week of Southampton release drinking. Pours deep purple with tinge of brown and small soapy head. Nose is amazing taking me back to days of eating black raspberry ice cream growing up. Tastes of black raspberry through and through. Also some lemon tartness and grassy notes. Refreshing and really a greatbaddition to RIS release
