Bottle. This was about as middle of the road as a IPA can get. Leans to the hop side for a session.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark amber color with a large foamy white head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was tart, fruity and citric. The flavor was dry, tart and bitter with lemon and grapefruit notes. Long finish. Medium body.

Bottle assumed to be typical stupid ass clear pale IPA yeller. No smell per se at the neck of the bottle. First taste is astringent difficult veggiie IPA, like man regular IPA but with a big veggie bitter kick in the face. Strong, difficult, lasting tastee impressions. Except for the astigent behavior, this is pretty much yer ubiquitous big BS IPA brew, whew.

12 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Thanks to my friend Ben for the bottle! Clear golden orange with a bit over a finger of off-white head. Aromas of light citrus, floral notes, slight biscuit. Tastes of floral notes, light citrus, some grassy notes. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Fairly standard but solid session IPA.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville, 6/2/15. Clear golden, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of floral, earthy hops and a bit of citrus. Caramel malt. The taste is citrus hops, crackery malt, caramel. Medium bodied, moderate lingering bitterness.

Clear gold pour with a white head. Aroma of citrus and pine. The flavor is balanced and appropriate for a session IPA.

Month old bottle > pint glass. A: Deep orange-tinted gold. Nice head retention, spotty lacing. Very clear with few bubbles seen. S: Grapefruit and a light malty sweetness. Light but nice smell. T: More bitter than juicy and not especially grapefruity. Resinous and pithy. Not as citrusy or tart as the aroma. Not terribly impressive but it is very well balanced. M: Not too thin at 4.9% ABV. Resinous chewy finish and good carbonation scrub. O: As a seasonal I look forward to buying a sixer each year.
