A dark roasted coffee and vanilla porter with a hint of danger. A nod to the speed-crazed bikers who risked life and limb to race from one greasy spoon café to the next.

Bottle from Drunk Dry, Kidlington, Oxon, consumed at Frank, Bath Marina Campsite, Bath, Somerset, Friday 3rd February 2017 Pours dark brown, it’s probably black but as ever being in the camper with Loz is like being in the Batcave so cannot be 100% confident on colour, there is a tan head atop (I think). Wow this packs a coffee hit both on the nose and in the mouth, chocolate, a little vanilla and even a tiny swirl of liquorice but first and foremost it’s coffee all the way. Really nice, it does what it says on the tin for sure. A8 A4 T8 P4 OV16 4.0

Pitch black, red hue, good thick creamy tan head, receding slowly, fair lacing. Aroma roasted malts, espresso, cocoa, vanilla. Taste medium sweet and bitter, roasted, coffee, dark chocolate, earthy. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, taste continues in aftertaste, mild dry bittersweet finish, solid porter.

Bit viscous, totally dark red-brown beer with a short-lived dark beige head. Very distinct coffee nose, roasted/burnt, Ersatz coffee. Bitter, coffee, black chocolate, slight maltsweetness underneath. Slight stout acidity, but takes some time to appear Feels much better bodied than it probably is. Medium carbonation, slightly viscous. Bit sweet, rather classical porter, if a tad unidimensional.

Great beer. Chocolate, roasty, coffee, vanilla.. Way better than the beer with the chipotle in it.

330ml bottle from Clink, Birmingham. Pours dark with minimal head. Aroma of coffee and vanilla. Taste is as expected but with coffee and vanilla in perfect harmony.. additional chocolate creeping in. A really excellent coffee porter with great balance between roast and sweetness. Can these Fierce guys do no wrong?

Bottle shared by Erwin Van Moll @ Brewpub Van Moll. Opaque pitch black color, average sized brown head. Aroma is malts, some coffee, sand and something weird. Flavor is better, malts, dark malts, softly coffee and earthy malt bitters. Decent body and carbonation. But why is this a sweet stout when the brewer clearly says it’s a porter?
