J-Craft Hopping Gatsun to IPA West Coast Style 7% IBU 70 Crystal clear orange gold with a thick head of foam. Big hop bouquet that screamed old skool IPA - Cali or Portland circa 5-10 years ago. Nice smooth medium to full body. The taste is well balanced pine and caramel. Kind of simple but satisfying, good bang for your buck.

Can from Lawson. ¥298. Citrus hop nose, rich biscuity malt, pine resins, caramel. Old school nose. I wouldn't say west coast as much as before that. Deep amber-orange, clear, with a low head. Again, not really fitting the West Coast name. Hoppy flavor, grapefruit and orange and resins, sweet caramel malt. Prickly, spicy, medium bitter finish. Crisp. More caramel than I would prefer, but tastes fine otherwise. This isn't bad for the price. It's an old school IPA recipe from before the West Coast style, however. More like an IPA from the '90s.
