Peach Killah is our Hop Killah IPA but with 168 lbs of peach purée added. The beer is IPA first and foremost with a hint of juicy peach that adds depth to the already fruity Citra and Simcoe hops. This is not a big, syrupy beer, but instead a drinkable, pleasant and piney hoppy ale. This beer has been on vacation for like 4 years and is back by popular demand.

From notes take while having it on tap at the brewery. Aroma had lots of peach to it, more so as it warms. A solid, pale cracker malt backbone. Faint tropical and stone fruit notes. Pours a very cloudy, pale yellow gold with a small white head. No lacing and faint legs. Flavor had a noticeable pale cracker malt backbone with moderate peach character. Medium, slightly harsh bitterness. Light hop flavor. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, it’s better as it warms and more peach comes out. Solid base malt character. The hops were rather minimal and the bitterness was a bit harsh. Not the best Cellarmaker beer.

The beer is a pale yellow color, almost beige. Very cloudy. Looks kinda heavy and dull. Bar pour but the head looks normal in size. It’s white with small bubbles, good lacing. Peaches are really apparent in the aroma. It’s a sorta odd and very fresh flavor. Not really jammy, maybe light flashes. Fruity in a floral sort of way. I’m not sure that the citrus forward hops are the best pairing. They show up with oranges and grapefruit plus some grass. There’s a kinda buttery quality but not in a diacetyl. More like fresh butter. Odd. Taste is a bit less exciting. The peaches are milder and the citrus pith kinda takes over. There’s nice citrus flavor but a bit of bland bitterness too. I think there’s more peach flavor in there. It’s just crowded out. The feel has some fruit juice to it. Moderate bitterness. Pretty light on the palate. Kinda creamy. Peach and grapefruit peel finish. Again, sorta odd. All that said, I really like the experimentation and I hope they do more.

Tap. Pours cloudy, milky straw, small white head, good lacing. Aroma is buttery peaches, citrus, Passionfruit, dank with a faint note of cat piss. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, rich, fruity, dank, tropical, stonefruit. Medium body, creamy with a bit of finishing bitterness. Nice.
