The beer is a dull medium-light golden color. It’s quite cloudy. The head is medium and white. Pretty good lacing and retention for a barrel-aged sour. The aroma is citrus, oak, lactic sourness, tropical fruit and an earthy funk. It’s a wonderful smell full of wood, pineapple, tangerine and brett goodness. It’s hard to tell where all of the aromas are coming from; everything blends together quite well. The taste is moderately sour and rather dry. The finish has that semi-bitter oaky dry note that keeps things nice and clean. Lots of the same fruit flavor, probably a bit more emphasis on the bretty funk. Feel is light but creamy and full. Very pleasant and easy to drink.

Aroma is rather hoppy wiht nice tropical fruit and citrus notes but also an odd earthy, floral character. Medium light acidity with citrus and tropical fruit in the background. Pours a cloudy, pale orange with a moderately sized, thick, white head that recedes fairly quickly to the edges where it lingers nicely. Really nice lacing. Flavor is moderately acidic with a nice citrus note of orange and lime. Some tropical fruit and stone fruit. Light herbal, floral note with medium light bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice dry hopped sour, but I think the Rare Barrel ones, especially tangerang are better.

2014 bottle @ home. Green wax. Pours a murky dull dark orange appearance with a lasting cream colored head. Big passion fruit, bright tropical fruit nose with a little bit of parmesan, white grapes, and spicy/herbal hops. Medium light body. Moderately tart. Lots of weedy hops and tropical fruit in the mouth. Maybe a touch of star fruit, grapefruit, and lots of passion fruit. Finishes clean and herbal with a bit of cheese. Nothing crazy special but it drinks pretty fucken good.
