Can at home. Pours dark brown with big beige head. Aroma dominated by malt, with some roasted notes and a little dark chocolate. Taste sour-watery with some sweetness.

Appearance: Dark brown, clear. Some light tan head.
Aroma: Malt, slightly roasted.
Taste: Dark malt, sweet, slightly roasted. Pretty good.

500ml can kindly shared Finn. A patchy surface on top of a near-black body. Spotty lacing. Roasted, almost burnt, malts on the nose, ashy. Plain dark malty taste, grain, dark chocolate and ash. Roasted ending with a bittersweet twist. Clean in the mouth. Medium bodied. Tasty (Tromsø 12.05.2015).

Boks 500ml fra Eurospar, Tomasjord. Delt med Rune på Nerstranda 12 Mai 15. Svart. Lavt, litt farget skum som holder seg lavt. Aroma av sjokolade. Smaken mest sjokolade & røstet malt. Litt uvariert - men veldig bra ut fra styrken!

Kristiansand Øl Festival 2014. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is coffe, roasted malt, hop. Flavour is fruit, roasted malt, hop, coffee, cocoa. Medium body. OK beer.

Can. It’s a dark, dark brown, borderline black beer, topped by a dense, fingerthick dark beige head. Some lacings. The aroma is rather roasted, almost burnt, with toffee and some burnt down bonfire. A touch of dark dried fruits too. There’s more focus on the dried fruits in the flavor, prunes and some figs, with the roasted, burnt malts in the back. Some sweetness, but rather dry in the finish. Very mellow on the palate, medium to full-bodied. Long, roasted to burnt finish with some dried fruits sweetness and a touch of licorice and toffee. Much better than I remember it from my first encounter back in August. This is actually quite drinkable. 141119

500 ml can. Clear, dark brown body with a small tan head. Weak aroma of light roasted dark malt, toast and a hint of dark chocolate. Flavor is sweet, dark malt, light roast, hint of liquorice, chocolate and coffee. Low bitterness. Medium body, short in aftertaste, leaving a sticky sweet finish with a hint of liquorice. No obvious faults, but tending to be extremely boring, no complexity and very one-dimensional. Seems to be made totally uninspired.

Can 500ml. [ As Hansa Spesial Porter ].Clear dark red brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, toffee, light chocolate, light caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average duration, chocolate, roasted, thin, toffee. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141025]

Can 500ml @ fonefan
Pours slightly hazy clear dark brown with a light tan head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and chocolate. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel and chocolate finish. Body is light, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
