Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a slightly golden and not necessarily amber with a fair amount of bubbles and a head that disappears within seconds. It is mostly clear.
The smell had some pale malts with a good amount of sweetness to it, but are not overbearing.
The taste was pretty grainy has some of the pale malts come out.
On the palate, it sat highly carbonated, and because there is a good amount of bubbles they cause a good amount of burping. It is light bodied with a sweet finish.
Overall, it is not a bad beer, maybe one to get those friends who drink that malted stuff off of, would I get it again ...., unsure????

Dark Amber Color Huge Head, Some Lacing. Sweet, Honey, Corn, Caramel, Light Roast, Malt. Looks the closest to the style but not the taste. Watery and Bland Mediocre. Pass It...

12 oz. bottle. Loose single from my local Jewel. Light amber color, no haze, thin layer of foam on top. Slightly bready amber malt smell. As with some malt-forward beers, taste has a bit pf phenol, or medicinal alcoholic note. Sweet and sticky, though. There are some possibilities for this, but too many detractions. Possibly some adjunct, too.

Weak mushroom and cherry nose. Clear golden, headless. Watery mouthfeel. Flavor of malt and cherries. Some pekoe notes are present. Below average but I’ve had much worse.

12 ounce bottle from a Farm Fresh somewhere in Virginia Beach, VA. Pours an orange-copper color with tiny floating particles. Small head with fair head retention and lacing. Sweet malty aroma with caramel and apple-like fruit notes. Taste is green apple, pear, caramel, butter. Thin and watery.

Bottle from Albertson’s in Tehachapi, CA. The beer is a clear pale amber color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Spotty lacing. Aroma of sweet malt and bread. Light, smooth body with a metallic character and overly saccharine sweet malt flavor. Touches of fruit as well. The finish is cloyingly sweet malt and mercifully short. Not very enjoyable overall.

Bottle: Clear amber pour with a medium white head. Nose is malty and sweet, just a hint of hops. Taste is mild with malts and citrus hops, just not very defined in either. Thin and a bit watery.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Degarth. Clear, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Lightly sweet, caramelish nose. Medium body with dry and lightly burned caramel and some bittering hops in the finish. I can see how this is labelled as a märzen, it’s just SO different from a German example of the style. 280507

Bottled. A copper colored beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also a light spicy touch. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and a spicy note of coriander.
