16oz can. Slightly hazy, unfiltered orange-tan body. Big, off-white head, steady. Nice clean aroma, Chinook comes through. On the sweeter, softer side despite a little bit of resinous hop depth, just doesn't have that malt balance, depth...ie a new school IPA. OK.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear yellow with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has earthy citrus and a bit of melon with a touch of pine and straw underlying. Flavor has earthy citrus and grass with light pine and sweet grains.

Sample at the taproom. Clear gold color with a medium bone white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of floral hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of floral hop, grapefruit and bready malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Shaker pint draft at Mercat a la Planxa in Chicago, Illinois. The pour is clear golden with a minimal white head. The aroma is floral, dry grass, bit of lemon citrus and caramel malt. The taste is all of the notes of the nose with floral, citrus and caramel malt all blending nicely. The palate is medium bodied, soft natural carbonation and a sweetish softly bitter dry finish. Solid IPA

Draft at Alter. Smell has lots of pineapple and citrus, showing the result of loss of dry hopping. Sudsy IPA head over a gold to copper body, just a touch of haze. Tate is full of the fruit taste of exotic hops, but the dry hop is just the slightly reciprocal Citra and Simcoe. Malt is crisp and keeps your attention even when served cold. But this one demonstrates that this new brewery already has the hoppy beers down pat.
