Single bottle from HyVee, Ankeny, IA. What we have here is an IPA that works toward sticking the style more than packing on hops. Pours a bit darker, close to a brownish amber. Scent carries piny, resiny hops with a backing of orange peel. Taste brings in the resiny promise of dried hops flowers, with a gently backing of malt. Maybe others will say this is a hop head beer, but I’m more interested in it as a working India Pale Ale.
