On tap at Monk’s Pub, Chicago. Healthy looking reddish brown body with a thin head. At this strength, that’s no surprise. Thankfully this has not been overloaded with pumpkin pie spice. Instead, there’s a mild spice that makes way for some warming alcohol notes. Comes across like a Belgian dubbel with just a bit of horseblanket. Taste is pretty malty. If they say it’s got "carmelized" baked pumpkin, then the squash may be adding to the fermentables. Result is a nice, warming beer with some thick body and full flavor. Spices do come in at the end to show support.
