4 oz. taster at Atlas. Okay, my first time with a Galaxy hop beer. Comes with a coppery IPA color, a thin scrum of foam. A nice smell of citrusy hops, but nothing out of the ordinary. But when I sip it, ah! A big tropical fruit note that I cannot identify. The descriptions for this hop elsewhere suggest passionfruit, and since I’ve never had that, I’ll go along. A little juicy like a muskmelon, but still with a citrus tang. First sample from Atlas that left a noticeable layer of lace, and it’s all around the glass. Still plenty of bitterness and resin to the hop as well. Quite fruity by the end, and the alcohol becomes more assertive as I drink further.
