Draught @ Pints, Elmhurst IL (Nov 2024). Clear copper-brown with a large spongy beige head, caramel malt aroma, high carbonation, medium bitter caramel malt taste, toffee, thin body, long finish. Decent altbier.

Taster at the tap room. Russet brown, still work a ring of foam after half an hour. Malty nose work caramel twist, maybe a bit of smoke. Taste is bigly malted and a little sticky on the tongue. Not smoky, actually, but the malt does have done pretty in its finish. I just don't get a chance at a lot of alts, but this is, I think, a very good one. Kind of an odd strawberry note at the finish.
