Draught @ Gino's East. Clear rich amber with a very small frothy off-white head, malt aroma, high carbonation, medium bitter caramel malt taste, thin body, long caramel malt finish. Very decent Marzen.

Samplers sent to be by the brewer. Popping the tab, there’s just a bit of sodium in the nose, as in a softened Bohemian Pilsener water profile. But that note goes away as I pour out a nice amber color, with a big tan head, and plenty of bubbles. The taste has the expected caramel and toasty malt character. This one is a little lighter in texture than other festbiers, but still its lightness works for it. It means it can go down pretty quickly. Hops are a little bit in the background, to let the malts play up.
